Bodywork

Connecting with our body allows us to show up for

ourself ↔ each other ↔
our communities

Yeah, it’s our physical form, but our body is also the vessel for all of our energy and its shifts. It stores the wisdom of our muscle memory and our DNA and genes. So much of our daily life disconnects us from our body, its needs, and ultimately, our connection through it. Mindful bodywork, of all sorts, counters that disconnect, right? I’m here for all the creative, sustainable and empowering trauma-conscious ways we can do that.

  • I believe that yoga and mindfully practicing it builds trust in the body and our ability to constantly change and grow in and with our communities.

My friend David took me to my first yoga class in New York City in the fall of 2007, and I’m lucky to have had the privilege of practicing it at different times, places, and paces of life.

I completed my 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training at yogaRIOT in Portland, OR, in June 2025, and invested more time and energy focusing on the history and teaching methodology I’m aligned with. There’s still so much more I want to learn that I’m aware of. Even more that I am not aware of yet, probably. I became an RYT200 in July 2025.

  • “The Somatic Activated Healing Method is a wild, ecstatic reunion of body, mind & spirit—rooted in trauma-informed practices, Buddhist wisdom & principles of restorative justice.”

I began practicing the SAH Method™ after reading Sah D’Simone’s book Spiritually Sassy in early 2023. The SAH Method brought me into my body and into an awareness of the world and way of seeing it that moved me with life more effectively than years of talk therapy and medication.

Practicing the method continues to allow me to flow and experience life with inspired eyes, and I share it with other people who want to move with life too.

  • Becoming a mother changed my relationship with my body. My experience birthing at a hospital in California changed my understanding of the healthcare system and women’s health and support.

I became a Holistic Pregnancy & Birth Partner under the doula training of Jesse Remer, fertility and pregnancy nutrition training of Dr. Sam Levine, postpartum and newborn care training of Kimberly Bepler, and Ayurvedic nutrition for fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum training of Susan van Daal.

Moving Together

I aim to build group classes that combine accessible meditation, pranayama, yoga asanas, and somatic + ecstatic movement for emotional release, mindful presence, and the feels and awareness that we’re all in this together.
