The issue of women driving in Saudi Arabia is becoming more and more prominent as the country progresses. Though there has been much talk of the ban being lifted over the past few years, not a lot has actually been done.
The campaign is a space for self-expression. The voices and opinions of Saudis are the content and the catalyst for the whole campaign. 
Though I strongly support the equal rights of women in this issue, I felt the best way for this campaign to engage people would be to include dissenting opinions. On one hand, the campaign seeks out more progressive viewpoints, similar to my own, to build a rational case. On the other, it provides people who are less open to the idea with an outlet to express their concerns and actively take part in fashioning a solution that is appropriate to our cultural needs.

The Design

The symbol is derived from the traditional iconography used for signage that signifies male and female sections in places like malls, bathrooms and prayer areas.It depicts a women wearing the ‘Igal’ (the traditional ring men wear over their headdress) over her Hijab.

The main component of the campaign is the We the Women declaration bubble and bumper sticker which are available for download off the website and will also be distributed in venues popular to the audience.
They can fill it out with their opinions on the issue and then stick it wherever they want, whether it’s on the street or on their cars or in an alley. They can even put it in their room if they want it’s just meant to start a conversation and remind people how important the issue is.
